I am a registered Clinical Psychologist and accredited Supervisor with the Psychologist Board of Australia (PBA), part of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a specialist endorsement in Clinical Psychology and is a registered provider with Medicare as a Clinical Psychologist.  Julie is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a member of the APS Clinical College.  Australian Psychological Society

I have over 14 years experience working within the public and private sectors with children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns.

I work from a trauma informed perspective and apply various frameworks and modalities to accommodate each client’s presentation. The main frameworks I utilise includes: Attachment Focus – Circle of Security and Core Sensitivities; Mindfulness and Meditation Practices including Self Compassion and Loving Kindness; Neurobiology and Mind Body Connection; Emotion Freedom Techniques (Tapping); Dialectical Behaviour Therapy; Child Centred Play Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I acknowledge that life can present many roadblocks, but believe with self-exploration and self-compassion we can overcome a multitude of difficulties. I also believe that the skills of self-reflection and self-belief are integral to being able to move forward and learn from the difficulties that life presents to each of us. Medicare rebates are available to patients referred by a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician under a Mental Health Care Plan. Private Health Fund rebates are also available. I am also registered with Work Cover. You are able to attend appointments without any referral, however the session fee will need to be privately covered.
